These terms apply to your use of https://calcoak.com ("the site"), operated byCalcOak ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. They are written in plain language on purpose; the headings are there to help you find things, not to change the meaning.

1. What the site provides

The site offers free calculators, converters and explanatory guides. All tools run in your browser and are provided for general information and convenience. You may use them for personal or business purposes without charge and without creating an account.

2. No professional advice

Nothing on the site is financial, tax, legal, shipping or engineering advice. Rates, carrier rules, holidays and formulas change, and a calculator cannot know the specifics of your situation. Results are estimates to help you think and plan. Before you make a decision with financial or legal consequences, confirm the figure with the official source, for example the carrier's rate card, the tax authority, your lender or a qualified professional.

3. Accuracy and availability

We test each tool against published references and correct errors when they are reported, but we do not guarantee that any result is accurate, complete or current, or that the site will always be available. We may change, suspend or remove any tool or page at any time without notice.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CalcOak and the people who work on it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or any result it produces, including lost profits, overpaid shipping or tax, missed deadlines or data loss, even if we were told such loss was possible. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use automated means to scrape, copy or bulk-download the site's content;
• attempt to interfere with the site's operation or security, or to overload it;
• reproduce the site, its tools or its guides on another website or app without permission;
• use the site in any way that breaks applicable law.

You may quote short extracts from a guide with a link back to the source page, and you may link to any page on the site freely.

6. Intellectual property

The text, design, code and name of CalcOak are owned by us or used with permission. Trademarks and carrier, product and company names mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the rules or services being described. Results you generate with a tool, such as an invoice PDF or a QR code, are yours.

7. Third-party content and advertising

The site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense and contains links to external websites. We do not control those advertisers or sites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. How advertising cookies are used is explained in ourprivacy policy.

8. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what data is collected when you use the site and forms part of these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CalcOak is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction.
